Music: I'm not okay (I promise) - My Chemical Romance

I am in deep regret.

This was not how it was supposed to be. This was not how it was supposed to end.

I planned it all oh-so-finely. I made my choice, convinced that it was the right one. But now, as I look back, I knew I had got it all wrong.

I bet you guys are aching to know what this is about now. Is it about a boy? A relationship that went horribly bad with a friend? A wrong answer to number 2(b) in my Physics paper?

No. I'm sad to say that it is not.

It is of something much deeper and much more meaningful than all of the above. Are you ready for it? Here goes.

I MISSED THE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE CONCERT.

I know, I know. You're probably flipping your head, rolling your eyes and maybe even contemplate on stop visiting my blog. But, I don't care. I need to vent out my frustration.

And yes, I have a tendency to blow situations out of porportion and over-dramatize.

I can't believe I didn't listen to that gut feeling. MY gut feeling. The same nagging voice that told me during Biology that the answer was A but I insisted on shading C.

I had full intentions a month ago on attending this concert. Despite the critics, I loved the band. And their older records. Who cares if Gerard was bisexual and wore too much make-up? Who cares if Ray needed a makeover? Who cares if Mikey was married? Okay not really. Damn he's married.

They're still rockstars and as a fan, it is my duty to join the rest of the thousand wailing teenagers there at the disgusting stadium even if the weather was less than permissible.

But I didn't. Instead, I said to myself that I'll save up the money for prom and my future drumset, which was much more important to me.

Well, right now prom is cancelled. And, I'm about to inherit a second-hand drumset- which I am fully and absolutely grateful for- from a friend.

Someone shoot me. I cannot live with myself.

I missed the surge of adrenaline I'd get attending rock concerts. I missed the thumping beat of the bass that blew out through monster sized speakers. I missed the stupid speeches that would be given out by the band just to get the girls screaming even louder. Heck, I even missed the lack of air and the smell of body odour in the moshpit.

*inhales deeply*

Yes, I think I'm done.

I'll take this as a lesson learned. Sorry inner voice of Adelina. I know better now that I should never ignore you.

Well, I'm glad that everyone who went had a blast. And thankfully, Gerard was able to bring to the table what he's supposed to and fulfill everyone's expectations.
