08 January 2008

Music: Franklin - Paramore

I woke up early; due to the noisy rumbling of an old car engine. Peered out the window only to discover it was Marvin's (one of the guys here) car aka crap. I wasn't surprised. Tried ever so hardly to fall back asleep again but realised I had to go to the bathroom.

Our breakfast date with Eddie had to be cancelled because he had to go back to his hometown earlier than expected. So there we were, the three interns once again, munching on frosties and hoping that someone would just waltz in through the front door and invite us out for a meal.

Obviously, we had no such luck.

I'm not quite sure what the others were doing but as for me, the only thing I did the whole morning was watch time pass by. Literally.

I grabbed my music player and memory verse, walked down the stairs, sat my butt down on the couch and stared at the clock. I could clearly remember the time then. It was 11. 17 am. I watched the seconds pass and the long hand slowly moving closer towards number 4. When it was 11.30, I shifted my eyes and continued to stare out the window.

I watched the university kids ride by with their scooters and motorcycles. Some were in a rush and some were not. Some wore jackets and some did not. Some carried thick heavy books while others just had a thin piece of paper in their hands.

In short, the zone was lifeless in the morning. It was dead quiet without any sound of activity. No, not even an ant could be seen scurrying around.

Finally at 12, we decided to go grab lunch. The minute we stepped out, we met Bon! And then Jenny. And then Poi. And Oi and P' Robert.

WHERE WERE THEY BEFORE THIS?!?!

Anyways, I'm just thankful that the rest of the day wasn't like that. We had a longgg equipping session. We finally finished the last 4 chapters of the Gospel of John and I'm proud that we covered the whole thing in 5 days. Go us!

I have no idea what I'm doing later at night. Will probably play some cards or just hang out. The 3 other interns from America will be arriving tomorrow, thank god. That's more people to be around with. Hopefully things around here will lighten up.

PS: Sorry for walking you guys through my oh-so-exciting day. :)
